Construction of carpool shelters

Information

Villefranche Beaujolais conurbation (69)

As part of its commitment to more sustainable mobility, the Agglo Villefranche Beaujolais wished to structure and encourage the practice of carpooling on its territory. The challenge was to offer users a credible, practical alternative to the private car, while meeting the major challenges of ecological transition and sustainable development.

The solution: dedicated carpool shelters

Because the development of shared mobility requires appropriate infrastructures, we have deployed several specific shelters in the city of Villefranche-sur-Saône. These facilities have been designed to provide a clearly identified, secure and comfortable meeting point for users waiting for their carpool.

The benefits of realization

  • Support for shared mobility: The installation materializes and facilitates meeting points, making the practice of carpooling much smoother on a daily basis.
  • Comfort and protection: The layout guarantees a waiting area sheltered from the elements, an essential element for the experience and loyalty of users.
  • Concrete ecological action: Every shelter we install is another step towards reducing car use and actively contributing to the community’s environmental objectives.

This achievement demonstrates that a targeted installation can have a major impact on the adoption of more responsible behavior. Polymobyl helps local authorities to create facilities that support these new uses. Take a look at our other projects to discover our solutions for sustainable mobility.
