Solutions and Adapting to Change: What Tools Do Cities Have at Their Disposal?
Heat islands and flood risk share common solutions. These involve reorienting urban planning policies along three lines:
- reintroducing vegetation into cities;
- making the ground permeable;
- creating cool spaces.
